Announcement
From 5 September 2011 the British Psychological will maintain a new Register of Qualifications in Test Use.

The new qualifications are:

Assistant Test User (broadly the existing BPS Certificate in Test Administration

Test User - Ability (broadly the existing BPS Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing - Level A

Test User - Personality (broadly the existing BPS Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing - Level B (Intermediate)

Specialist Test User (broadly the existing BPS Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing - Level B (Full))
Impact on those undertaking Level A and B
There will be a transition period.  As yet no Verified Assessors exist for the RQTU.  The process of verification will inevitably be time consuming.

Publishers will continue to offer Level A and B qualifications for the foreseeable future.

If you qualify at Level A and/or B AFTER 5 September 2011, you will still, however, be eligible to join the new RQTU.

KCP and the RQTU
KCP has already applied for verification under the new RQTU.  As usual, we intend to be among the first to offer the new qualifications.

Delegates signing up during the transition period will also have access to the new style RQTU modules.

Impact on Holders of Level A and B
If you hold a Test Administration, Level A or Level B Certificate AND you are on the current Register of Competence in Occupational Testing, you will automatically transfer to the relevant designation (see above) on 5 September 2011.
